NNCI During COVID-19 Pandemic

NNCI Facilities Status

During the coming weeks and months, NNCI sites are beginning to ramp up research operations. The status of these facilities for access by users will be updated here on a regular basis. Once core facilities are open for user access, please note that all will be implementing special procedures and restrictions related to health and safety issues, and may have reduced operating hours. Users should review these operating plans and/or consult the site staff before requesting access.

NNCI Return to Operations Survey

As NNCI facilities prepare for a return to a new normal of research operations, sites frequently consult with each other about how to frame lab policies that enable our researchers and staff to work safely. The information in this document is a survey taken during the week of 5/14/20-5/20/20. Like all COVID-19 policies, lab plans are constantly evolving to meet new information and needs; survey results are just a snapshot of execution plans for various NNCI facilities, which encompass many labs beyond cleanrooms. While there are many similarities in responses, there are many more differences due to local jurisdictions, university policies and resources, user base, etc.  These survey results are posted here in the spirit of sharing different approaches that address the same goals.
